Lacey Cate
I am very proud to be a Native Austinite. In 2007, I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with my BA in English. I am so grateful to have found such a dynamic and rewarding career in Special Education! The 2018-2019 school year will be my 5th year teaching Functional Communication at Forest Creek. I'm passionate about improving communication through research based practices and assistive technology and will always be an advocate for what is best for my students. I don't take any of my teaching or classroom responsibilities lightly, and I have your child's safety, best interest, and growth in mind at all times.
My wife, Hilary, and I live in Austin. We have 4 sweet and super spoiled kitties: Keiko, Layla, Chester, and Harvey. In my free time I love working out (especially at Orangetheory Fitness!), watching HGTV, and shopping. I could eat Breakfast tacos, queso, pancakes, and pizza every day - but I most certainly do not! I've also been known to have a pretty serious 5 cobalt gum and Starbucks habit.
